By road (self drive/’a do-it-yourself’ safari):
From Mwanza - via The Kigongo Ferry (photo), Sengerema, Geita and Muganza: 265 km
(Good/fair road condition all the way - and asphalted).

From Muganza:
TANAPA speed boat (photo in the middle) to Rubondo Island (30 minutes).
US$ 100 (return) - Tanzanian residents/non-residents. Max 6 pax.

From Nkome:
TANAPA speed boat (photo in the middle) to Rubondo Island (90 minutes).
US$ 180 (return) - Tanzanian residents/non-residents. Max 6 pax.

Mwanza - Rubondo Island: US$ 160 (one way)
Rubondo Island - Mwanza: US$ 160 (one way)
Mwanza - Rubondo Island - Mwanza: US$ 320 (return)

Note: Passengers arriving from Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam on Precision Air and passengers arriving from Grumeti/Seronera on Coastal Air can connect this flight.

Departure Rubondo: 15:50 (3:50 PM) - (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun)
Arrival Mwanza: 16:18 (4:18 PM)
Note: Passengers connecting out bound to Dar es Salaam on Air Tanzania/Precision Air can connect and passengers connecting to Kilimanjaro or Seronera will have to overnight in Mwanza to connect next day.
